Please remember to sign up for “Meals & More” for families with babies under 1 year of age. Remember how hard that first year was with your new baby? Especially the first few weeks and months!  BFN Meals for Families with Babies --> http://www.lotsahelpinghands.com/c/13813/  If you don't feel like cooking, you can always offer babysitting for siblings or other neighborly helps. Be creative and reach out to our friends with babies!

Infancy to Independence I to I is a nonprofit, cooperative play program for toddlers and preschoolers. The program meets once a week from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and a typical day consists of unstructured play time, an age-appropriate craft, circle time, snack time, and a parent discussion. There are no paid staff members and each parent participates in helping to run the semester. I to I is designed to be a pre-preschool, introducing children ages 1-4 to the structure and expectations of that experience but with a parent there to help them through it. The program has no religious affiliation, and siblings under age 1 are welcomed and free of charge. The program meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and registration forms for any of the three days are being accepted on a first-come, first served basis. Please call Lynn at 978-263-1093 or e-mail actonadmissions@itoi-ma.org to RSVP for the open house. For more information, go to www.itoi-ma.org/acton/index.html.

The Minuteman Math Circle will be offering a 6 week session for first graders starting in January. Weekly math circle classes, led by a trained instructor, allow children to explore together the language, symbols and ideas of mathematics. Classes are 45 minutes long and take place in a noncompetitive, collaborative group setting.

If you have a first grader looking for a fun math activity, look for the upcoming winter edition of AB Community Education's Interactions or www.minutemanmathcircle.org for more info.
