Welcome to the Boxborough Family network Website

Our History:   Boxborough Family Network (BFN) was first founded in 1996.  Besides bringing families with small children together in our community, our largest contribution to town was the construction of the playground we all enjoy at Flerra field.  After being dormant for several years, BFN was reorganized in 2006.  We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and are affiliated with First Connections and the JRI.

Our Mission:  Our main focus is bringing area families together with children 0-8 to build a strong sense of community and foster lasting relationships within Boxborough.  Activities often bring us to other towns for sports and lessons, etc leaving our kids without a sense of who their friends will be when they start Kindergarten here in town.  We strive to provide fun activities and programs to help bridge that gap.  There are lots of fun-loving kids (and parents) right here in town!   In addition to playgroups, parties and outings, we have sponsored a few educational parenting seminars and provide information on important issues facing our town.

About Our Membership: Since 2006, we have grown to 60 member families including over 200 members (half of which are children).  Most members live in Boxborough but there are a few from surrounding towns as well.  Our diverse membership is comprised of working moms, stay at home moms, and everything in between.  All of our events and playgroups are open to moms, dads, nannies, grandparents, etc.  We welcome you to join us today.  Visit our membership page for more information.
